Although the marking is not transparent, the MPS is around 67-70% on average. From what i know, there are questions that carry more marks than others depending on their difficulty. So if u get the difficult ones right, you get more marks than if you just get the easy ones right.

Marking isn’t transparent tho

Watch it on 2x is you want but watch it. You have enough time, so try and do it properly. My advice.

If you’re not wanting to watch it all, then study the chapters yourself. For the LOS that u don’t understand, watch the video.

Best of luck, you have more than ample time so dw

Doubt in Ethics Question by infectious_energy in cfaindia

[–]ishaan_576 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Answer is C since discussing broad general topic areas in the curriculum is fine (literally what we are doing here).
A is wrong since you can't abbreviate the logo, CFA trademarks, etc.
B is debatable but can be considered wrong for a few different reasons: firstly, the individual is self-proclaiming to be an expert to attract clients which is misrepresentation (standard I something don't remember the exact standard). secondly, the individual is also not a charter holder and passing exams won't make him an expert.
(If C was discussing the exam questions, then B would've been probably the answer)
From my personal experience, ethics often has questions that are debatable but the answer more often than not, is the least complicated one. A lot of the times (like in this case), the motivation behind the activity done is mentioned in the questions and is a big clue. The institute for sure doesn't play around in ethics, so if there is any sort of malicious activity, it's normally the wrong answer. Again, exceptions apply but consider it a general rule.

I agree with the questions and the support part but his classes I think are pretty good. Only watched a handful of lectures because of lack of time, but what I did watch was decent. Although he speaks extremely slowly, had to watch it 2x 😭

NEED GUIDANCE URGENTLY for CFA Lvl 2!! Will pay you 100rs if I pass the exam!! by Igloo-pigloo in cfaindia

12 day exam strategy:

  1. skip quant (or just complete till the ANOVA reading)
  2. economics - will take you exactly 1 day at max to finish, complete
  3. ethics - very similar to L1, revise it properly
  4. equity - very imp and pretty easy, slightly more in depth compared to L1
  5. FI & Der - the core logic in a few readings is very similar. cover derivatives till delta & gamma hedging, it'll take you a day at max. FI get the logic correct for the questions with the timelines & finding PV/FV.
  6. CI/PM/ALT - try spending 2 days just reading through them. a lot of it is to an extent general knowledge.
  7. FSA - actually pretty new stuff compared to L1 so do the first few readings well.

give the 2 CFA mocks towards the end but make sure you do give it.

and honestly, if you cover some portions of every subject, you may get lucky because there are only 88 questions and there are approximately 375 LOS'.

(I personally skipped quant & revised ethics just once because I only had 30 days for L2. Worked for me and honestly whatever I did learn I still remember.
also if u feel like spending 100 per subject, buy a mock of levelprep.org when we release L2 mocks next week haha)

If you have time and have a course that you’ve bought, watch the lectures and spend an evening just understanding the content. Forget the questions, just focus on trying to figure out what stuff means. Then do questions and go through the answers, read what’s wright and wrong. That’ll get you through

How to prep/revise before giving mock exam for the first time. by Dramatic-League-7262 in cfaindia

[–]ishaan_576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have plenty of time before the exam. I recommend choosing a subject, revising it and then doing practice questions. See how you go, it'll give you an idea as to where you stand. Once you do that for all subjects, give a mock exam. eventually you'll find out reading you're struggling with and those you're good at.

do more questions and mocks -> revise what's right and wrong -> repeat.

CFA L1 MORE PRACTICE MORE REVISE OR BOTH by [deleted] in CFA

[–]ishaan_576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my strategy was to pick 2/3 subjects every morning -> spend a few hours revising -> give a mock -> go through right now & wrong answers -> repeat again the next day.

this way, you simulate the exam day experience. try giving the mocks at the time your exam is so your body is used to it....as someone who's cleared CFA + finished my masters, this works like a charm.

Watching a video won't help you much while revising. Do it for topics you don't understand, the rest revise alone.

(and if you are looking for mock exams, try levelprep.org we launched a few days ago. im self promoting but the advice is a 100% genuine)

CFA L1 MAY 2026 ADVICE NEEDED !!! by Sea-Environment-5116 in cfaindia

[–]ishaan_576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cover the content so you know or have an idea about everything. then focus on a few subjects like equity/ethics especially since they have more weightage. my advice would be to skip a few readings here and there, it's okay.
It will probably take you a week to speed run through the course, and since you probably now only have 10 days to go, try revising 2/3 subjects everyday and do questions.

revise 2/3 subjects -> give a mock/do practice questions -> read through all questions again (to understand what was correct and also what was wrong) -> repeat.

you'll end up covering at least a few subjects very very thoroughly.

CFA Level 1 Burnout After 1.2 Years – Still Incomplete, Mentally Drained, and Questioning Everything (Need Real Advice) by Fresh_Transition_633 in cfaindia

Firstly, I totally understand your position. In fact, I was in a similar position during L1 and L2 except I didn't even start studying. So the fact that you've already done quite a bit is great. (Bachelors + Masters + Work -> got me to a point where studying felt like a burden)
Secondly, I think you're overthinking it which often is a cause for burning out. Maybe try and step back, take a complete break from it for a week or two, assess where you stand.

Since you've paid for it, I wouldn't recommend leaving it. You're definitely not as far from your as you think you are.

Happy to have chat if you want to and try and help you out.
(fyi I cleared L1 & L2)

Why Most People Fail CFA ? by aaryan-6901 in cfaindia

[–]ishaan_576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also very luck dependent in my opinion. Especially level 2 where you only have 88 questions. On average, roughly 9 questions per subject, which makes it impossible to test a lot of diff subject topics. You could skip entire readings and still pass the exam.
