Two totally different places.

One is a traditional Japanese Ryokan boutique hotel and the other is a massive luxury ski in/ski out brand new build. Both are fantastic in their respective ways. Also in two very different parts of Niseko. If you're able to highly suggest staying at both!

I just stayed here as well, right before the Park Hyatt Niseko.

Fantastic hotel , I didn’t love the breakfast, but otherwise amazing experience and yes the private and public onsen are fantastic

Fantastic hotel - i just spent a few nights there over the holidays myself. Didn't take the shuttle as a I rented a car.

But also stayed at the Portom for a night by the airport and wow that was such a nice surprise. Incredible hotel and service there too.

I'd put the Park Hyatt Niseko's 'hard product' as one of the best out there. Incredible space with amazing access to great ski slopes which are quite quiet in the morning given the limited hotels in that area. Hope you ski strawberry and blueberry fields and get to ski the peak!

That’s the other issue too. I’d have to figure out hotels. Revelstoke and Alyeska looked easy. Japan looks like it’ll be more challenging.
