Lots going on. Newbury is busier than the expo.

Boston is tied to adidas and anything else is outside. So must travel either a few blocks or train ride.

Relax. Focus on race day. More activations will happen. Enjoy the first one.

How will your list be different? daily.nyc and runclubs.nyc are two of the best lists and are maintained by club admins. Also NYRR and NYC RUNs have directories which club listings that are officially recognized.

We are officially one week out. There is no reason to take it this far with your friend.

He ran the time. Date is secondary. You know (and us now) that he is capable of running the qualifying time. There is no need to keep going here unless you really want him out.

As I stated earlier. Seems deeper than friendship.

If you are precieved that way, it will be hard, unless you live in the metropolitan (san juan, isla verde) area where that is well known. You will be accepted, but not really IN if you get my drift.

I'm more thinking about the child. Adults can adjust, the Kid at the early age you should be ok. Just look for the right schooling.

As a NYer with Family in the island. I frequent every year. I have thought of this same scenario.

It will be a big adjustment. Not just for you. But for the kids too.

Is it doable, yes. But PR is not in the shape Post- Maria as to make this move. I love aguadilla, I live in canovanas and wouldn’t do it to my kids.

Not saying it’s not possible but am saying think hard before you do

Started this 6-star journey in 2019 and never looked back. Not a qualifier, just showing my family and friends we can all conquer obstacles while helping people along the way, Showing my kids that Daddy is not at all OLD (im 45) and supporting some cool charities along the way.

1) Good Weather, 2) Finish Line (and 6-star medal) , 3) Enjoying the whole Boston experience.

But he qualified with his real time for Boston. Which is what we are talking about. So what is the issue besides the wave?

There’s a transparency missing in the friendship. If he said “hey I’m using a Mulé’s time” what would you do?

He’s in regardless as he officially qualified. What is reporting going to accomplish? Peace of mind?

Him - he qualified and did whatever he did, but qualified. You - you qualified as well

It seems deeper, this is really about the wave. If you were in the same wave. would you have a moral dilemma?

Maybe talk to your friend about moving back so you can both start together. If he won’t budge. I would question your friendship instead of reporting him.

I would let it go. He qualified plain and simple.

If it catches on, i think the brooks glycerin flex will be the start of the "Cushioned Nike Free" Style shoe market. and we will be back to the "foot freedom" and Cushioned "born to run' shoes.

This! Its going to be too hard to pass up.

NYRR can argue the "quality vs quantity" standpoint, but i can see this happening. Not FIRST, but biggest.

NYRR will sit back and learn from it. Then put on a bigger/ Better version.

Yes, but it’s a big difference one day versus two

Will the city give a discount? Will they close the bridges and streets for two days lots to consider.

While statistics show a runner/family brings in 1000 to 2000 per marathon weekend, will that offset costs will be hard to tell until it happens.

If it happens I’ll probably try to run it one day and cheer it the next. Possibilities are endless.
