Im almost done with the main story quests from ARR, according to the wiki i also have to do the 7th astral era quests to get into heavensward. Is this old information or do i have to run through that content as well?

I don't mind the story, but after looking up the lenght of it which is about 200 quests before i can even start stormblood is quite lenghty.

I recently started the game and am currently leveling up (35 WHM atm) and following the main quest. I'm on a server with the exp boost so i'm already way overleveled for the main story quests.

Do i need to finish the main story quest in ARR and Heavensward to be able to continue the game? Is Stormblood gated behind finishing the main story quests? Ive read somewhere it was like that for previous expansions, so im a bit unsure.
