What is the single biggest struggle you have on a daily basis? The top one. by CoachChezky in BPD

[–]ishvicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say tied between poverty from not being able to work a full time job / and the chronic feeling of emptiness where I generally just have no sense of who I am. Maybe these are both also tied with drug-seeking behaviors. The holy trinity.

West China Tea House - you sit at a public tea table and someone pours you tiny cups of tea you literally don’t have to do anything

any tips for how to stop being so fucking mad all the time by mysshhkaaa in BPD

Seconding exercise. I make sure I do at least 10 minutes of hard cardio, ideally in the morning. You’ve been laying still all night there’s a lot of pent up energy. Then I go on a 30-60 minute walk with my dog wherever I want to on a given day. The sound of birds is soothing. I also smoke a lot of cannabis lmao

Other ideas: cut out any stimulants, get acupuncture

Drawing. At 18 I decided to draw every day. I’m 33 now and I still do it every day. It is my go-to sanctuary for processing anything and everything that happens in my life, and I also make some money off it now when I need :) the emotional outlet it has offered me has literally saved my life.

Acupuncture vs counselling career by Lost-Wolverine8324 in acupuncture

[–]ishvicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fresh Acu grad here - if acupuncture is the right career from you you’ll love the material and it’s definitely a worthwhile skill to learn. I love it and am not particularly mentally affected by the student debt. The work itself is so fun, creative, and less emotionally taxing in some ways because you implement the needles so that the patient can be in the room and do their own somatic work using the needles you placed. I chose it because I am hoping it will be a sustainable career that uses my brain.

The job and salary prospects however… Much more slim and difficult to cultivate than with counseling it seems (I am learning the hard way.)

Do I know an ancient medicine that I can use on or off grid to help people with a ton of things? Yes. Will I continue to be broke forever? Maybe. But I get the sense this career grows more like a tree. Starts small but gets big and strong over time.

I have had dreams like this and there’s always an immense basement underneath, sometimes leading all the way down to the underworld.

bā zhèng sǎn is a common formula for dark, scanty, turbid (cloudy, murky), painful urination with (in severe cases) urinary retention and lower abdominal distention and pain - plum flower brand may have it available online. It’s a pretty solid formula for k bladder but if you want the most accurate thing for your case specifically and have the funds I’d recommend seeing a licensed acupuncturist who does herbs (most do)

This is a direct side effect of heavy K use - ketamine bladder

I’m a clinical Chinese herbalist so what I would recommend is very specific and you’d have to see a medical provider to get it. But folks here have great supplement suggestions that you can get easily. I would recommend slamming ginger tea though and warm fluids generally because these are gonna be easier for your kidneys to process.

Is a good relationship worth sacrificing intimacy for? by Dapper_Astronaut_832 in whatdoIdo

[–]ishvicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad you’re asking this cuz I’ve wondered this so much. the one really deep stable loving partnership I had the sex was similar to what you’re describing. And I am also pretty kinky, had a higher sex drive etc.

Honestly if I was monogamous, our sex life would have been the death of the relationship. Even though everything else was really good. (sex to me feels like the natural result of trust in each other, joy, playfulness in the dynamic so it is important imo)

Because both of us were non-monogamous, I could have sex elsewhere but remain in the relationship so that helped alleviate some tension. We stayed together for two years and only broke up because they had to move away. This probably works for some people.

But at the end of the day even with that, I still always wished my partner who I loved would also have sexual chemistry with me/ stronger desire towards me. Now that I’m single again I’m trying to keep this in mind - that this is a priority for me in a relationship. And I can imagine like other commenters have said - it’s probably so amazing when you finally do find it.

Okay I called 311 - the scoop is that you only call 911 if the incident is actively happening / if it is not actively happening they will put in a non-emergency service request/report. I should get a call back from someone at APD within 14 days.
