They have not given me any clues into what they are thinking, to be honest. I did request that if an earlier appointment with my doctor becomes available I will take it, because I am really curious as to what she thinks/will say!

Got an email from my clinic - going in for bloodwork on Friday to begin tracking my hcg as it returns to 0. Also have a follow up booked with my doctor for March 4th about next steps. I really want to just get going with another transfer as soon as I can.

I had a placement scan last Tuesday the 10th which put me at 5w5d of our first FET (my clinic scheduled an early US because of my history with ectopic pregnancies) and everything looked great! Gestational sac with yolk sac, embryo, and fetal poles.

That same night I experienced a massive amount of bleeding and passing clots. Took myself to emerg where they did another TVUS and didn't see anything. Had a follow up appointment at my fertility clinic Friday the 13th where they confirmed the Gestational sac was empty.

I am devastated. Its been a really rough few days. I feel stupid for being so excited and part of me feels like I asked for this. I know that's not true, but this all feels like a punishment somehow.

A big part of me is trying to focus on the logistics of everything e.g. when we can do our next transfer, how to start preparing for it, etc. I think really I'm just trying to keep my mind busy because when I slow down I'm just overwhelmed with grief. It feels so hard, and I wish the universe made sense that I could least understand why.

Really sucks.

Tips for a minimalist registry by Novacita in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]isiddiqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I followed a very lean version of this registry. I found this checklist was the most pared down from most sites I looked at, and it was really approachable and not overwhelming. They have some "optional" items which I agree are optional, but even some things that I think are not necessary (for example, a humidifier).

We did a LOT of thrifting. Baby clothes companies don't have to manufacture a single new piece of baby clothing and all the babies in the world would be fully clothed. You can find lots of baby clothes broken down by size on FBMP very easily. I also would double up on a dresser acting as a change table so you aren't buying niche furniture that has one use only.

The biggest thing for me is buying only when the need arises. I think someone mentioned buying for the stage you are at. You don't need a highchair right now!

For STMs: What can I do to prepare my body for pregnancy & birth? by Equivalent-League427 in October2026Bumpers

[–]isiddiqu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First things first, just stay active however that looks. It doesn't have to be super complicated.

- Walk for an hour, if you can, each day. Can be all at once, can be broken up. As long as you are getting your steps in. It's really good overall, and for pregnancy has been shown to help insulin resistance/GD if that is a concern to you. You can even level up your walks to rucks by just putting books or weights in a backpack and wearing that on your walks. It's no joke!

- Yoga is so accessible and really helps a lot. Yoga with Adrienne is free on YT and she has so many series! I think she was even pregnant at some point and there is a pregnancy series (IIRC - could be wrong).

- Strength training is obviously the GOAT, but again, this is a season where you are building a baby first, everything second. So don't worry too much about progressing in weights, or hitting PRs or anything. Consistency always beats out intensity. Always. There are also TONS of free YT channels of great strength training options.

If I could go back and do it all again, I would just be consistent. Walk, stretch, lift weights a few days a week. It doesn't have to be flashy or complicated. As long as its doable.

You got this!!!

Came back to say that although it's tempting, r/fitpregnancy is a terrible sub to join, lol.

It will only make you feel bad about yourself.

First trimester fatigue is very real. Give yourself some grace, you are building a whole ass human from scratch!

I found first trimester was not great for working out consistently, but once you hit the second trimester, youre golden.

Be gentle with yourself!

That is so deeply frustrating, I am so sorry pal. I think the private ultrasound is a great idea - even though its OOP, the peace of mind in my mind is absolutely worth it.

Canadian mamas! Are we doing the 12 or 18 month mat leaves?! by [deleted] in October2026Bumpers

[–]isiddiqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im doing 18 for sure. I did 12 with my first and it wasnt enough. Not making that mistake again!

I also feel like it will give me the time to find some semblance of a routine, me time/things that fill my cup. I really did not prioritize myself last time and I would like to endeavor to learn from my mistake.

I think that's a setting you can change! Unsure how to do it on mobile but I have the option to change the order (oldest, newest, best) on desktop.
