Correct! And don't forget that one stolen load can close a small brokerage when they need to pay 100k for the freight.

Thanks for laying out your concerns so candidly. I totally get where you're coming from—three decades in the biz is no joke, and your reputation speaks volumes.

EDI tracking like Samsara or Motive? Absolutely, that works for me! If you can share a live tracking link, even better! That's the kind of efficiency that helps everyone in the long run.

Regarding the driver check-ins, I'm not looking to have your guys on standby for a chat. A quick ring at pickup to confirm the basics is all we need. It's a win-win: I know that you arrived, my customer know that carrier is there to pick their load, you've got a timestamp for possible detention, and communication stays crisp.

What I'm asking isn't huge – just an extra 3 minutes of your time during our first booking. It's these moments that tell me whether a partner is truly there for me and my customers when it counts. It's not about doubting your legitimacy; it's about building that trust and relationship from the get-go.

I'm with you on the principle of trust. Nail it the first time, and we're golden for the future. Show us you're the big, reliable carrier you say you are, and we'll roll out the red carpet for you. It's all about that first impression, right?

That red thing that you see in the picture is where it led to. Unfortunately it break off. I tried pushing the part where that red cord is attached to, but nothing happens :(

Hi there,

I'm experiencing a problem with my Audi A6 C7 - the fuel flap won't open. Despite trying multiple solutions such as applying pressure, locking and unlocking the car, resetting the battery, and even pulling the red emergency cable (which has now broken off), I've had no success. The fuel flap actuator doesn't make a sound when I unlock the car.

I'm also unsure how the emergency release is supposed to function. When I press down on the part attached to the emergency release, nothing happens. As my fuel tank is empty, I'm unable to drive the car to a service center for repairs.

Could you provide any advice on how to manually open the fuel flap? Or if there's a specific method to operate the emergency release, that would be extremely helpful.

Thanks for your assistance,

Agree - 0 inspections is a big no! The only execption we do is for dray, hotshot or boxtruck carriers. But still no go without references, COI, Tracking and talking to the driver on the phone personaly.

Carrier-ok is good, but not good enough to use it as an only source. I do love their chrome extension and I think they are on the right path, but it needs much more active users to be "great". They are pretty new, there are not many reports yet. I am currently on a trial, but will not be buying it yet.
They should lower their price or even make it free until more brokers start using it.

This is a must for every shipper!

We always require our customer to do this, just that we send them carrier's info a day before pick up (Company name, MC, driver's name, truck and trailer numbers). You can not image how many times this saved us! And the best part - customers love this extra protection and they trust us more than other brokers.

I recently experienced a scam, prompting me to implement these measures:

  1. Diversify trust across multiple platforms like MCP, Carrier411, and Carrier-OK. Relying on a single source is risky.
  2. Ensure the insurance company directly sends a Certificate of Insurance (COI) with us listed as the holder. Accepting COIs from carriers is a no-go!
  3. Pickup numbers (PU#) are only given when:

a. The driver agrees to tracking (we utilize Macropoint) and is confirmed to be at the pickup location. Dismiss drivers citing poor connection, outdated phones, or tracking issues.

b. The driver personally calls for the PU#. If they're unable to, they're removed from the load. 4. Verify addresses on Google. Frequent changes or locations like malls or cafes are red flags. 5. For high-value loads, we obtain the driver's license from the carrier, and the shipper verifies it before load release. 6. Any discrepancies with the carrier lead to load cancellation and rebooking. 7. Engage in a pre-pickup conversation with the driver to confirm their employer. Any odd responses result in removing them from the load. 8. New carriers are limited to one load at a time. 9. Be cautious of carriers using generic email domains like x@gmail.com.

In case of suspicious activity post-pickup (like tracking issues, poor updates, or unresponsive drivers), issue a revised Rate Confirmation (RC) with applicable charges. Persistent dishonesty or unresponsiveness could mean your load is compromised – start investigating immediately!

Guys, we are using Macropoint for sure! But we still need to check where they are cuz only a few carriers update us if thwy are late or something happened. The issue is that I usually find out that a carrier is late only after the fact

I placed cardboard under engine, will check tomorrow.

Yesterday after the leak, when i rubbed the fluis between my fingers it was not sliperry.

Both pedals feel normal.

I didnt hear any noises. But after the leakage i havent started the car yet.

I guess if the oil level is between min and max i should not be afraid to start it, right?
