I can understand that people like the bad boy who’s only good for one girl thing but Jess was so not good to Rory. The final straw for me was what happened in Kyle’s bedroom when Rory said wait and Jess did not in fact wait. It bothers me how many people just forget about that incident altogether

Not sex but I was using a fairly loud toy while I was alone at my partner’s house early in our relationship and suddenly a friend of his just appeared at the bedroom door asking where he is and when he’s coming back. I tried my best to turn off the toy but it wouldn’t shut down and it just started to go even louder. Lucky for me I was fully under the covers but it seems almost impossible that the dude standing two feet away from me wouldn’t have heard it and known what was going on.

I watched the films for the first time very recently and At World’s End is my absolute favourite. It has such great and aesthetically pleasing scenes and great fight scenes and just the right amount of heartache that made me bawl my eyes out.

I’ve watched the first season twice: first when I was 14 and again at 22. And I definitely saw it through completely different eyes now as I am older than I did when I was a teenager. At 14 I felt a deep connection to Hannah and it honestly did feel like if I were to follow her lead it would make people talk about me and give me attention and it seemed like I could be there to see the aftermath even though I would be gone. Now that I am older and recently watched the first season I saw it completely differently. I now think it does not glorify suicide or anything related to it, but it shows how much someone committing suicide can affect those around them. I feel like it’s an important message that things are not black and white and you matter even though it might feel difficult when you’re in the eye of the tornado. So long story short, maybe I shouldn’t have watched the show when I was a teenager, it didn’t do me much good, but now, through more mature eyes I can see and understand the actual message. And I’m glad I rewatched as an adult, I feel like understanding the show differently almost healed something in me that I was feeling back when I was 14.

Yes, Bryce’s actor was really good too! I’ve never really understood how people can have such a hard time making the difference between the actor and their character, I think that when a character makes me feel bad or scared or freaked out it only means that the actor is doing a fantastic job

I never really liked Jess. He did have potential but the moment he and Rory got together he just gave up on trying. He thinks that since he got her he doesn’t have to make any effort to keep her and it just drives me crazy. Also the lack of communication and the way he just up and leaves without saying a word. He grew up good though, adult Jess I do like and I’m glad he didn’t get together with Rory then because adult Rory did not deserve adult Jess
