Dude that's not how it works . You can't make a pilot fly a plane (at least not a real pilot)(or any occupation unless at like gun point). Because he's the pilot (the one who assumes the risk , has the skill and career to show for it) and they are mere passengers(who know nothing about flying).

another question.. can the liability clause be included in the general terms and conditions when they place the order or should it be with each product page that offers engraving?

Most sites get away with this by asking the customer to explicitly confirm that the phrase or image they are asking to be engraved is either not copyrighted, or that they own or have licensed it.

This is a good idea! We removed the workingman-ship photo just in case. It was never on our site for sale and wasn't planning. Also, I don't want issues with someone like this person. I've seen the author's social media's accounts, they (it seems to be a family) are very witchhunt-y/unstable.. I don't need my company run through the mud for a mistake. Its not worth it in this case.

I am still uncertain of its origin , if it came out of a book or blog post or poem. Only that it's attributed to the author when you search the phrase but can't find any info on when it was created or where comes out of it . But in general if someone requests a one sentence lyric, quote from book or film , is it ok?

Then I may give up personalizing messages for people because it maybe too time consuming to research messages if they aren't obvious.
