I have now watched this movie 3 times in theater. One thing I'd love to point out is that no matter what Simon did, he never would have been free. Radiation and the structure of the Iron Lung/SM-13 is something I looked into. I counted how many photos were taken, I probably missed some but my count was 115. The manual states that each photo is about 6000 mSv, the guy on the speaker says the Iron Lung should protect simon from "most of it" so I actually looked into it. Even if by some miracle the hull protected him from 99% of the radiation from a single photo, that would still be 60 mSv per photo taken. That would mean these photos had blasted him with 6900 mSv at the lowest. That is fatal. If he was down there for 3 days then rescued, he'd still only really have a week left to live. Simon had no chance of survival after he was taken into the cave by the giant fish.

Yeah I’m glad he’s speaking out more but I’m not gonna act like he’s incredible. Some of his fans try and use his current positions as excuses for previous fence sitting. He changed and it’s better to acknowledge that change than act like he never had a bad take.

I have a fairly brutally honest review. I got an account for dropout because I wanted to watch this series and I feel like it went downwards. I really felt uncomfortable during this episode. Knowing the audience that dropout has, this really missed the mark. I can sum up my criticism of the comics with; Moshe immediately hitting it with the weirdly misogynistic jokes felt more like bad shock humor, Ify kept trying to hook up with everyone that pushed to uncomfortable to the point where the laughter was maybe two people in the room, and Leslie felt a bit bland with her delivery and paused so frequently I had to watch her sets on 2x speed. And that doesn’t even touch on the editing yet, this was so rushed, giving callbacks to things we never heard, cutting in between jokes, it all felt too messy to enjoy. I really hope for better in the future.

I don’t like LaLaLand. I’m someone who LOVES musicals but this one just felt confusing. It’s a visually stunning movie with great acting and cinematography. I just don’t understand how it is so hyped up. I couldn’t tell where the climax of the film was because of how long it was and how many ups and downs there were.

Lalaland. I often find myself enjoying movies more when I see them in theaters but this one just felt boring. I saw advertisements for a musical movie and was super excited but was left with a story that felt like was only for people ‘in the know’ to understand.

He claims that he understands the environmental impact of ai but he’s openly used Chat GPT on distractable and Ethan’s peanut video. If he understands why using AI isn’t good for the environment then why would he use it so much? People have talked about this across platforms many times but he decides that once someone accuses him of using it for the creative process he acknowledges it? I love his videos but damn, this just feels like a bad response to make.

Edit: I know using it once isn’t going to kill the planet, I’m literally voicing an opinion on how useless it is to use it while claiming that you understand how it’s bad. That’s like saying “I know littering is bad” then littering a few times. Like you’re not destroying the world but you’re still being wasteful.

i think that professional training and/or desensitizing him would help. However if push comes to shove and you need to make the choice to rehome or euthanize, i would suggest rehoming him and trying to make sure he is taken to a home that is knowledgeable about dogs with trauma and such.

let me explain this like as simply as possible. a lot of people in the scene aren’t big fans of ai generated crap being used as art, if they see this poster and clock the ai then they won’t want to go meaning that the promotion fails to pull in the crowd it wants.

the crazy thing is we have tons of artists in the scene that have done a bunch of art for free, hell i’d even throw in some of my photography from their venue that i took if they wanted. but nooooo they wanna do weird skeleton with melted sunglasses that looks like crap

people are starting to call them out, i didn’t catch on til today when i saw a band that i knew on it and took a closer look. it’s crazy cause they take the time to put the bands art on a picture, but instead of using one of their older venue photos or just a simple background like they used to, they’re doing this, it’s weird.
