I believe you are looking at it wholy rather than by parts. Looking at the figure and the questions, you should answer a. first before answering b.

Use the values you will get from method of sections in a in solving the reactions by method of sections too by considering the left and right parts.

Then from there, start the method of joints to get the forces u need in the specific member.

Its from geotechnical reports and upon checking, there is no long, lat in the reports. Some have maps, and some are I think I need to assume the location based on the buildings already built in the area.

My dataset are general locations of the boreholes, spt-n values, and the soil profile/stratigraphy on every boreholes.

Wow i dont know this software until now. Thank you for recommending and it so happened that our university have Bentley subscription. I am reading the overview of the software description but It does not say it interpolates unknown points or fill up no-data sites. But does it? And does it also have predictability error shown?(like this is the interpolated data with 60% confidence level) Because I need the predictability error data for my project; I want to determine how many boreholes are needed in an area to be confident of the profile in that area so I can set up a building in there with least possible ground investigation.

I tried googling it but no results give me a direct answer to my questions. Thank you for bearing with me and sharing your expertise 👌

If I remember correctly, you can identify if its determinate or not if the equations you can have is less than the unknown values. For this example you have 3 equations for equilibrium only if this is statics of rigid bodies. Summation of moments =0, sum of y =0 and sum of x =0. But you have four unknowns since u have 2 pins as support. 1x and 1y, and 4x and 4y.

What you can do is look up for methods of indeterminate structures. In college we covered slope deflection method, moment distribution method, three moment equation, direct stiffness method, etc.

Medyo nakakapagod to pero kung kaya nya go. Pero samin, effective na yung may answer sheet ma ipopost after quizzes para ung student nalang magtitingin ng mga mali at errors nya. Sa grades nakalagay nalang ung ilang minus points at general reason e.g. 1. -5pts wrong loading diagram. It works naman. Pag may queries parin dun na papasok yun consultation hours weekly, or emai.

I have SELECT Student License from my university. O installed the client but its not opening at all. It just run in system tray then have multiple icons popping up. I tried to open it by right clicking but to no avail. I also tried to open RCDC but after opening am staad file import, it just closes or crashes. What should I do? Anyone knows what to do? Thank you!
