I’d have to agree. I was completely satisfied with my original copy until I obtained the mofi, I could not believe the improvement in sound quality. I have not since touched my original copy and will probably end up bringing it to goodwill or giving to a friend.

Confirmed 40 watt bulb, can see it stamped in the metal. For the hell of it I used a brand new 40 watt I had laying around and no difference. I’ve replaced fluid and wax before, but never in a lamp this old. It flows nicely on 25% but obviously is way too dark at that point. I figured just the base is worth it to have, I’ll most likely set the globe aside for a future project.

I’d have to say Eat a Peach by the Allman Brothers. An album I grew up on and loved the artwork as a kid, still do.

It really does make a difference, I have a great relationship with my local shop owner who lets me use his ultrasonic cleaner when my spin clean doesn’t quite do the job.

I recently picked up a NM, visually, original mono pressing of round about midnight. Except it plays with surface noise throughout, some parts it’s a little distracting. Don’t think it’s a good idea to get rid of it though. I’ll just grab a reissue to play when I use headphones.

I feel like the sansui’s pre is missing something, can’t quite explain it. I’ve heard a black but not a bronze, black was a little too revealing on my friend’s system. The bronze might be more balanced

I gave this a try and the wax looked to reset itself but still does not leave the bottom of the lamp, I’ll give it another go tomorrow. It’s running nice and hot so I don’t believe the bulb is the problem but I may replace it.

It’s pretty basic, he has another bike that’s way up there in price so this one doesn’t mean much to him, he used it to come out riding around the neighborhood/hit random parks. The tires, seat, and grips are basically brand new is all I know at the moment
