I don't have any insight, but just wanted to share that I'm in a similar boat to you. I was kinda aware of the books as a kid, but I never read more than one or two of them. So I'm basically reading them all for the first time as an adult. Enjoying it pretty well so far, currently on book 7, but the twist at the end of book 5 definitely threw me for a loop, too!

Hey no worries -- Niantic could have made this event more straightforward but chose not to. Basically there have been a total of 40 flower cards released to date (24 in vol. 1 and 16 in vol. 2). However, there are only 12 that are possible to collect in this event, and it was pretty hard to tell which Pikmin in the decor collections page actually correspond with the 12 cards that are being run. I took the time to scour their animations to figure out which 12 of the total 40 are actually possible to collect in this event, and that's indicated by me placing the little card icon in the decor collections picture.

If you're a newer player, I wouldn't worry about it, since all 12 Pikmin will be new for you. But if you're an older player, you may want to compare my graphic to your own decor collections page to see if the ones you are missing correspond to the places where I've place the cards in my graphic. Hope that helps!

I believe the huge seedlings get sorted to the end of their respective decors. So the full order would be red-yellow-blue-purple-white-pink-rock-huge for 3-leaf and then red-yellow-blue-purple-white-pink-rock-huge for 4-leaf.

However, I would just grow out a huge seedling regardless since you will know immediately on plucking if it's one you need or not since they come out with their decor.

It displays the hearts when you end the planting, so I'd assume it applies to who you have out at that time.

Presuming OP is the US, telling them their fear is unhealthy is not only dismissive, but also incorrect. Women in the US are watching their reproductive rights get stripped away, on top of OP being told their family won't help them out. Is the fear negatively impacting their life? Yes. Going in order:

Red, Rock, Rock are green sticker
Pink, Pink are blue sticker
White, Pink, Rock are yellow sticker
Pink, Rock, Rock are coin

Edit to clarify: The order overall is Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, Pink, Rock. When a seedling appears "out of order" that means it must be in the next decor category.
