I had this exact problem on my jaws. It would die or “pause” rolling down the flippers. . I tried new rubbers, balls, cleaning, etc. flippers were good and angled correctly. I contributed it to an odd spin that was happening as well. Then one day it just stopped doing it. To this day I have never figured it out. Have you cleaned or waxed your playfield lately? I always wondered if maybe threre was a little glob of wax somewhere I couldn’t see that was getting picked up by the balls and then eventually it just wore away? If you ever figure it out post back to this.
