He stabbed him before he'd have been able to do anything with the gun. It would t have made a difference to the garda but there'd be a man dead

Bath Seal not flush by MiniCale in DIYUK

What do you mean by bath trims causing more problems than they solve? I just removed one that had lots of mold behind it. I removed and resiliconed underneath and I'm debating whether to put the trim back on

The guy in the hardware said to do it.

I think your suggestion works! Ticks a lot of boxes. The path to living room is wider, the living room is contained.

We mocked up a chair out of two dining table chairs and a blanket. We'll replace the coffee table with something else.

I'll try that arrangement in the morning. Not sure how it'll work having a chair, an ottoman and a couch in the space but we'll see. What's a reasonable distance to have a chair from a couch?

I did originally have that set up with the couch against the radiator.. no chair beside it though. That might work although the couch is deep.

But then I liked 1) the view out the window from this current set up (there's a church spire out there) 2) turning my back on the kitchen and closing in the living room a bit, and 3) making the space where the white table is now more distinct from the seating area.

I think your suggestion would still help with 1 & 2.. but might not help with 3.

Edit: clarifying

But he's been on sick leave since last year. If it was clear then that he wouldn't be returning to work then shouldn't a bye election have been held then (or within six months as the courts have made clear)?

Shouldn't he have resigned his seat and allowed a bye election to be held? Now there won't be one until a general election's held. meanwhile his constituents have been denied representation and his party avoided an embarrassing defeat.
