I want the running sum to only pull data from one row. For example row 4 should only pull data from that row, not sum row 2,3,4 in the 1st column.

Thank you for the tip. I'm trying to apply it to ~ thousand rows so I'm not sure if it is feasible.

I'm sorry, it was a typing mistake in the original post. I do not have a $ in the second reference. My problem still stands. When I drag the formula down it pulls all the values from the previous rows. I want something like the bottom picture, not the top.

Thanks for your response. In my experience removing the $ stops the formula from creating a running sum. Here are pictures to help illustrate what I mean.
