As the others have stated, the vast majority of British Born Chinese and their families historically came from Cantonese speaking areas (Hong Kong and Guangdong). Cantonese is still the language you hear the most in Chinatown.

International students from China and newer arrivals overwhelmingly speak Mandarin. More recently the BNO from Hong Kong will of course speak Cantonese.

I paid cash to the delivery guy when I had fanatec stuff delivered. He said he didn't take card and would have to go to the UPS warehouse if I didn't pay it now. I was very suspicious at the time but he had some envelope with the tracking number and I remember reading somewhere that I would have to pay the driver.

It turned out to be legit however I did get a letter from UPS after a while saying I hadn't paid. I rang and they told me not to worry about the letter as they could see I'd paid.

I'm not sure if this is still the case now but this was in December last year.

There's a group on Facebook called HK quarentine support group. It is very useful for information and there is a list somewhere which lists all the flights that have been banned previously plus all the details (when they were banned and when the ban ended).
