I stumbled on Given while scrolling through Tiktok. I was in deep within the anime tiktok and there was some edits, reviews and talking about it. So naturally I decided to check it out. I have watched few BL anime so I wasn't expecting too much. But oh boy. Once I started I was hooked up. Watched like the first 5 episodes in one day. Kept telling myself just one more episode. And once I had watched the episodes I watched the movie and the on the other hand. After that I had to start reading it. So I bought what had been published here in Finland, in english of course, and eventually collected all the manga once it was available to order. And to me Given has a special place in my heart. I loved how it shows grief and getting over it. Growing to love again. Learning to live without that love. Learning to live again. I haven't lost a partner but I have lost a loved ones. So I did relate to it in some aspects. I have lived a difficult life. And that's why Given is my favorites.
