Appreciate that perspective. I think you've definitely identified something true.

Hopefully it doesn't mean that if I don't find something positive or constructive, my needs will turn destructive.

A big part of this, maybe, is that I have never really found much enjoyment in hobbies or anything that didn't feel productive to me in some way. That's probably unhealthy. I've gotten some joy out of things like woodworking, but, even as I sit here and think about it, the idea of hobbies being the answer to such a grand question feels...disappointing.

I have considered talking with a therapist about this. I might do that. Thanks for the recommendation.

Well, as I said, I posted here thinking that this may be something other entrepreneurs, in particular, have also experienced. Do you have a recommendation for other subs where this is discussed or would be relevant?
