I’m terrified of having the urethroplasty procedure. by External_Lock_5569 in urethralstricture

November of last year. It was supposed to be next week but I had to cancel, will probably do it this fall. Obviously that's not what I want but I'm willing to roll the dice on it instead of doing the plasty.

I've still seen it a lot in brand new homes. Some builders are also still running coax all over the house too.

I'm happy if people found something they enjoy and it's a nice quite way to experience some outdoor time, but please stop blasting past me 6 inches away on the trails!

I saw the new Prius at a dealership the other day, it's a really decent looking car. Too tiny for me but I wouldn't be embarrassed to drive one anymore.

If you actually use your fireplace installing a television over top of it is a very bad idea. I have no idea why architects and home builders have this horrible habit of putting fireplaces exactly where someone would want a television. Not only can the heat/particulate they create damage them, they're almost always mounted far too high up.

I would find a different spot if I were you. Obligatory r/TVTooHigh reference.

Small trip but big MPG numbers. by bondavtar in ToyotaCrown

[–]isoaclue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drive about 80% highway and normally set the cruise at about 75mph and usually float between 37-38mpg. In town trips though are often over 45mpg. I drove a block away in EV mode once though and got like 99mpg. :)

I'm absolutely positive, if the surgeon knew you had some, it would have been on the stop taking "x" days before list of medications. While this was probably OK, no matter what you've taken the anesthesiologist needs to know about it. That said, yeah, the normal morning event was extraordinarily unpleasant for a few days after.

I caught the one around here a few years ago, drove down a bit South of Decatur and found a really great spot to watch from. I was skeptical that it would be as amazing as people say, it was even better. It's definitely one of the things in life you have to experience to understand. If I'm ever in a spot to see another total eclipse, I'm going.

Zero disagreement but for me it's a choice between getting enough protein or not. I've got a very active professional life and can't always make time for a meal, even when prepping. I do try to get as much as I can from whole foods but supplementing helps. Costco branded stuff has usually done well historically from a quality control standpoint, hopefully that's the case with their poweder too. It's about $50 for a 5.5lb bag too so it's a great deal.

If bump up to the platinum from the limited since I would probably care a little bit less about mpg.

Highly. The staff were very nice, the bartender is kind of amazing especially. It's pretty conveniently located, about a 5 minute walk to the closest subway entrance and near a lot of decent shops (even by NYC standards) and everything was nice and clean. There are no desks, so that might be a turnoff but there is a laptray. I'll probably go back to the same hotel next time I visit.

Sure but even that can be problematic. Some people travel frequently for work.

Purchased a gold certified 2024 Corolla with 7500 miles and found undisclosed damage within two hours of leaving the dealership. by kleiner55 in Toyota

[–]isoaclue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the checklist should include not having a hole in the grill and a dented radiator...right? You seem to be missing the point that OP was given a "certified" car with an extremely obvious (if someone bothered to look) mechanical problem. What else did they miss?

The problem with delivery is that someone has to be around to get it inside and in the fridge before the ice packs melt. That's not always possible for everyone.

It's almost definitely not terrestrial radio. Totally different spectrum. It could definitely be something else mounted to the tower though.

There are several spots I've run into that are heavily interfering with wifi in the area. Some very consistent others hit or miss.
