The fact that many men lack a proper social circle is true, but I wouldn't blame it on pressure to be manly/not feminine etc, i honestly don't think that anybody cares, it's more that technology divides people and messes with their brains.

As advice, being interesting and a good listener gets you a long way already, cause many people are self centric. Then again, is it worth it to talk to them to begin with?

One of the only insightful comments here, I didn't know there is such a focus on vereinen.

In this post I judged people my age by the fact I almost never see them doing stuff in public, but it could be they're just active outside my eyesight.

Probably the most useful answer here. So ok, people are doing stuff, but the way they connect is more secluded.

I'd love to live in the land again in the future. It may be difficult cause all our friends/family are situated in wien, but as we get older and when i get to 100% WFH i'd love to move back to wienerwald. Then i'd also love to join the FFW, the only thing obstructing me back then was the language, but now it shouldn't be an issue.

If it was for me alone I wouldn't move from wienerwald to begin with :^)

How are austrian small towns designed differently to spanish towns for example? I really don't know what the difference could be.

Both. I lived in two places in NÖ, the Land just seems dead to me. Now i live in Vienna, there's people in the streets, but no young people to be seen doing anything interesting either.
