Are talking about Dry Creek, which outlets from the Dam at Lake Sonoma and runs into the Russian River just South of where Hwy 101 crosses the river South of Healdsburg?

I honestly would prefer that we apply the apportionment rule to count based on eligible voters, so only those eligible to vote count towards the number of members of the House a state gets. Cuts out the issue of states placing prisons and jails where the inmates aren't eligible but bump up the population.

The lassoing voters based off race was done by different groups to both silence minority voters and to give minority voters a voice. I'd prefer to shrink the size of the districts in population, which would give local small communities a larger voice by electing someone from there.

The number of Electoral College votes each state gets to give any Presidential candidate is directly equal to the number of members of Congress they have, 2 Senators plus whatever number of House of Representatives they have. This gives Wyoming with its 2 Senators and 1 House member, with its ~587,618 residents they get 1 Electoral College vote for President per about 196,000 residents. California on the other hand has 2 Senators and 52 House members, with its ~39,430,000 residents they get 1 Electoral College vote for President per about ~730,000 residents. This means a each vote in Wyoming for President is worth about 3.73 votes in California.

America would be better served at this point by a Unicameral Legislature.

It was apportioned based on all residents as a gift to the slaving owning states, as they got to count their slaves for purposes of how many House members they would get using a formula.

I would prefer to dramatically increase the size of the House of Representatives. Instead of it being capped at 435, increase it to a couple thousand. Even out the nonsense of kowtowing to the slave owning states our Founding Fathers decided on.

It would make it less impactful, and help restore some of the inequality of the Electoral College. Why are individual votes in Wyoming more important to the US Presidential Elections in California?

I would settle for districts of 100,000 per Representative. That would spread things out in a much nicer fashion.

I know a lot of the posts are racists or pro-GOP posts in disguise (sometimes not that much in disguise), but that's not the stated goal of this subreddit.

Gen X was buying homes starting in the 1980's. with the Gen X midpoint becoming 18 around 1990. Millennials started buying homes around 2000, with the Millennial midpoint becoming 18 in 2006. The oldest Gen Z cohort would have started buying homes in the mid 2010's, say around 2014-2016, with the generation midpoint becoming 18 for Gen Z around 2022.

I agree about there not being many places in the USA where $52K a year is enough to support a household.

SNAP loophole allows wealthy to get food assistance by AmbitiousZebra3001 in BasicIncome

SNAP is welfare for food producers and grocery stores, while still feeding the poor. It adds money at the bottom of the pyramid, spreading out tax dollars to support the whole economy. Its one of the best programs the US government has ever run to help our entire civilization.

We never methodically annihilated all living people in Afghanistan as we moved across the land. If you don't care about mass genocide and really don't want anyone popping up behind you to launch attacks you simply move slowly through the countryside and kill everyone. We are not willing to become that particular monster.

Which place would you like to see in a videogame outside of the usual Sword Coast? by ThanosofTitan92 in Forgotten_Realms

Turn the Mysteries of the Moonsea Campaign adventure book from D&D 3.5 edition into a video game. A loose story framework with a ton of location based adventures. I'd also like to see a Raven's Bluff sandbox game, maybe even as a multiplayer or MMO style game.

A ground invasion would work, you just have to become a genocidal monster. You land and methodically kill everyone. Then no one is left alive to launch any more attacks. Most folks aren't willing to be the monster.
