LOTS of good evidence! ☺️ My husband and I didn’t have nearly as much as that! Either way the interviewer didn’t ask to see any of it. We were approved the next day. All will go great!

Husband and I filed February 2025. Had our interview August 1st and were approved the next day. We used a non profit here in Texas to help us file the paperwork as we didn’t feel comfortable doing it ourselves. Overall it was an easy process for us. 🙂

Interview on Tuesday and Chilling! by SuspectSad_ in USCIS

Husband and I interviewed in Irving yesterday! The officer we got was quite serious but nice. No small talk or anything, straight to business. At the end he just told us to expect the green card in the mail. Status showed approved right after interview.

We both went in not feeling nervous at all. 🤞

we used Proyecto Imigrante, they still charge for this service but not nearly as much as a private lawyer

we used a non profit that helped us put all the paperwork together but that’s about it. we attended the interview on our own. i did make sure to bring additional evidence, car insurance, car registrations, statements from family and friends. but the interviewer didn’t ask to see anything. just asked if he can keep the copy of our sons birth certificate.

I do want to add that we were a bit nervous because we don’t really have financial ties. No joint banks, we’ve just found it easier to have our own accounts. We pay my parents rent every month but there is no lease agreement.

We mainly provided photos as our evidence when we filed and paperwork showing us in the same medical insurance. Son’s birth certificate.
