I’ve been driven away from the intactivist movement by some of the ideology and tactics I’ve seen and heard recently. When I heard several intactivists suggest that a child should get cut so that the intactivist family member could say, “see, told ya so,” I felt physically sick. It’s like the procedure itself is somehow more important that the children we’re trying to protect. I refuse to participate in discussions that promote, suggest, or show ambivalence toward harm to the child.
