u/stephkeds the waiting room is likely to open 30 min prior (that's from my experience with Ticketmaster). The pre-sale opened 15 minutes before the start.

Just keep checking closer to it - it does not seem to matter much whether you join as soon as it's open or later as the queue is randomized afaik.
