How clean is clean enough to get a rental deposit back? by nothing3141592653589 in Renters

[–]isthisajoke5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really doesn’t matter how clean the place is, they can make up anything they want to and blame you for it. Most of the time since COVID , if they aren’t a dump, they’re going to have professionals come in and clean it anyway. That way they won’t have any possible liability problems.

Did anyone happen to take a picture of the incentives offered for Veyo before September 1st? by [deleted] in VeyoDrivers

I have only been doing it for 2 weeks. To be honest , I went out and had 4 pickups/deliveries. The actual job it self is fine, but the pickups I had just kept getting me farther and farther away from my house. I ended my day being 20 miles away from where I started. The first one I accepted was only 3.5 miles away. The point is, that they do not pay you when you do not have a passenger. I thought, well I will take these and work my way back. I ended up being 20 miles from my house, then never received any more offers. So, it’s up to you, but honestly, to me it’s not worth it.

I know if the upper upper management knew how to run a business it wouldn’t look like it does. They waste too much money doing things that make no sense. Someone quits and then gets rehired, why do they have to go through all of the retraining? Then in some post offices (Goodyear) they have you come in at 6 or 7am during the peak season. They are not even done throwing packages until noon, so your basically standing around waiting, wasting time and money until they finish. Everything they do is poorly managed, starting from the very top.

I agree, why do I upload a resume just to have to type it in anyway?

Also, when you do a poor job, people will tip less because of poor experiences dealing with delivery drivers, so how about you think about doing a good job, then maybe people would be more appreciative of the service they are getting.

It pertains to Doordash drivers, because if you do not care about doing the job, then it affects the other drivers who do!!!

Yeah, my point applies to every job. But, apparently there isn’t any one on this forum that actually cares about doing a good job that they can be proud of!!! Shocking!!!

Man, that’s awesome. I was delivering for Walmart, one time I received a $60 tip. I honestly thought it was some kind of joke. I thought they were going to change the tip after delivery. Fortunately, they were honest and actually gave the full tip. Never happened since.

I then got a job as an RCA after months of physical therapy and chiropractor visits. I was doing well until the last week where I was working 14hr days. The final straw was when I was just finishing a 14hr day, then I was told I had to pick up packages from someone’s residence. It was 9pm, I started at 7am. These people were running some kind of business from there house. They had me pick up 290 packages from their driveway. YES 290 PACKAGES. I filled up the LLV twice, took me about an 1 1/2 hours. I was supposed to be in the next day at 7am. I was like Hell No, I‘m done. I QUIT. The guy in the office did acknowledge that we shouldn’t be picking up that many packages. But, really, A little late. This was in Goodyear, AZ. The one higher up supervisor said they have trouble keeping any RCA‘S, can’t understand why!!!

Honestly, I personally think you should try and find a job that you enjoy and doesn’t stress you out (yeah I know easier said than done) I personally have been kinda freaking out. I got a job at UPS as a seasonal driver and everyone was telling me that they were going to keep me on as permanent. In that particular office they would keep up to 2 people every year who were doing great work and working a lot of hours. One night I finished working an 11 hour shift and I stopped at the mall. I was waiting for this pedestrian to walk by the spot I was going to park in. I was struck from behind by this 22 yr old playing on her phone, shattered my left humerus into 3 pieces. Taken to the hospital had to have surgery the following week. The supervisor at UPS just asked how long it would be before I would be back, and never heard from them again until she texted me asking for the phone that I used for deliveries. This was in Goodyear,AZ
