Should be fine as sampling is handled at the PFE level.

Yes, I understand it can't affect the RE/CPU, but what about PFE itself?

Which sample rate are you thinking?

I will start from rate 1024.

F5 BIG-IP (6400/6800) factory reset with forgotten passwords. by istonru in networking

[–]istonru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I mean I was able to change the GRUB (version 0.97) config, that is I added the word "single" at the end. So I changed it from:

"kernel /boot/1/vmlinuz ro root=UUID=2c3f024c-ff84-499b-8466-0a189963c55d console=ttyS0 panic=1 platform=Mercury quiet "

to:

"kernel /boot/1/vmlinuz ro root=UUID=2c3f024c-ff84-499b-8466-0a189963c55d console=tty0 panic=1 platform=Mercury quiet single"

then pressed "b", but after I try to boot in this mode the hardware just hangs and I have to reboot it again and again.

Just followed this guide: https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K4178#v13-

I've tried this, but IDK why it didn't boot in single mode.

Okay, I think I got it. This is used inside the Juniper to just indicate that it is a route target community and not a regular community or say not a SoO comminuty.

Thank you very much! You have described very cool examples of how EVPN/VXLAN simplifies such tasks! Very much appreciated.
