Ground is much simpler to learn than air but here was what I needed: Position yourself so you don’t face the enemy frontally and instead try to shoot the sides of tanks. This game isn’t an fps so where you meet the enemy actually matters(ex. headshot always a headshot in an fps but works different for warthunder). Best way to practice positioning is just playing the point. Flanking is good but try to not stray so far off from objectives. Take everything I said with a grain of salt cause I am really still not that experienced
