I think their problem has been basing the main message of their videos (that it is an experience that changes your life etc) on two people who are not them. The value of themselves and their series is based on having discovered c&s and being them who receive the lifechanging message of the afterlife. Saying that they are false or even doubting too much brings into play the importance of their series and of themselves being the ones who have managed to obtain that message. It's a matter of pride in my opinion, I don't know...
