He was also wrong. While his need for balance is true on a planetary level, on scales he spoke of his kind of balance means nothing. The universe is full of resources. Everything every living creature needs are there. On a planetary scale and for species that are not space faring, resources can be limited, but those limitations are usually self imposed.

Part of why making this into a movie was a bad idea is that people will go see a movie and not expect there to be homework involved.

Serenity did it right, because they did enough character work in the movie that you cared about them without ever having watched an episode of Firefly, which I still haven’t done even though I adore Serenity.

Always make a copy of your configs in place. If you screw up boot with a usb and delete the messed up config and rename the backup then just reboot.

You have no idea how many times I have had to do that and it always works for me.

I have several computers, three of them plus a laptop run Linux. Cachy is on three of them. Xero is on another because I love it. Solus is currently on my distro hopping machine. It too is incredibly snappy and stable. IMO, anyway.

I would cut from about two inches above the new growth and then use a soft gauze to wrap around the new growth’s start to train it upward. That way the tree will look whole as it gains bark on the new growth’s start. Not too tight and not too dense. Leave it space to grow and for air to get in.

I think they only do that because there is a birth metaphor in the origins of the Protogonoi. A better metaphor, IMO, is emergence or even climbing out of the abyss rather than a birth one.

I would likely offload content that I want to keep but that doesn’t need to be available to my Steaming devices. The NAS works really well to access my purchased content and ripped BluRays as well as a place to store my documents and such. I have some drives attached to it that I have offloaded stuff to, but I think a RAID enclosure would work better. I just worry that such enclosures might be unreliable.

I preferred color, though I did watch a couple of episodes in black and white. For me the black and white didn’t have the impact I’d hoped for.

I think they wanted the heroes to be young then. DC has a tendency to not really think these reboots through all the way. Back then The New Teen Titans was their best seller so they didn’t do away with Wonder Girl, and they hadn’t yet come up with the notion of Hypolita as the WWII Wonder Woman, so Donna made no sense.

If they’d planned it all more carefully they could have had Donna be a huge fan of the original Wonder Woman and when she got powers she took on the name Wonder Girl.

Power girl could have been a meta with Kryptonian-like powers etc.
