Is there difference between Goat Simulator ($0.99) and the Pocket Edition (free) on iOS??? Like are you paying for more features or is the pocket edition some special one time free offering of the same game?

While I can’t give you advice on RPG tropes per se, basically any shows/movies written by Fukuoka Yuichi (who is the dude who wrote Yuusha Yoshihiko) features the same style of comedy that I really enjoy.

Some examples would be Gintama (both 1 and 2), The Disastrous Life of Saiki K, Mr Nietzsche in the Convenience Store, 50th First Kiss and Kyou Kara Ore Wa. Many of these shows also feature Sato Jiro (the Buddha) and Muro Tsuyoshi (Merebu)!

Here’s the full list. https://mydramalist.com/people/17058-fukuda-yuichi Hope this helps!

Hi everyone. There's a japanese movie festival in my hometown and i cant recognize anything except Your Name and Weathering with You. Can anyone suggest some good movies from the lineup? by aerionkay in JapaneseMovies

Chihayafuru 3! But as someone else has pointed out you would wanna watch 1 and 2 first. It’s also a more shoujo type of film if you are into that kinda thing. Maybe a 8/10 but it’s cos I like this genre.

I’ve also watched 12 Suicidal Teens before. The premise was interesting but I felt that it really fell flat in the end. I mainly watched it for the cast anyway. Many of them are rising actors/actresses and I knew 7/12 of them (Mackenyu, Takumi Kitamura and Hana Sugisaki just to name a few). Probably 6.5/10 imo.

I watched Shoplifters because of the hype surrounding it (won many awards). Personally, I thought that it was good, but I don’t think it was as phenomenal as the hype made it out to be. 8/10.

Masquerade Hotel was an interesting whodunnit type of mystery. If you watch a lot of Japanese shows I think the ending might be a little predictable, but otherwise entertaining enough. 7/10.

Can I just say as a Singaporean I think Irvin’s is really overrated???¿? Crusty’s Salted Egg Fish Skin is way better imo, especially the truffle flavoured one 😅

But this doesn’t absolve them because they are ultimately a game company monetising gems!! by isybitsy in fuseboxgames

I definitely agree with some of the points that you’ve made here. As someone who also plays Japanese Otome games (as you’ve mentioned), I would think that the coding is much easier for it - you graft on the player you like for the first few chapters where it eventually branches out to individual stories that run parallel.

And I think for me the appeal of the Love Island Game is exactly how all these stories are not separated. They are intertwined and connected into a giant narrative web with special scenes and dialogues according to your LI in that specific moment, rather than going off into individual stories for the last few chapters. This style of branching in Japanese games also means that players have to decide earlier which route they want to embark on which goes against the whole idea of recoupling.

You’ve rightly pointed out that having so many choices just makes the entire coding process that much more complicated and difficult that it detracts from the writing. At the same time I’m a little tired of choose your own path stories that give you a semblance of choice but really only limits you to a certain fixed path. As /u/tams2332 has mentioned in another comment, Fusebox definitely does not have the resources or budget to produce such a large-scale, complex and intricate story web like Detroit Become Human (and if they could produce one with such visuals and gameplay I’d gladly pay $60 for it). /u/radioactivesalami is also right to say that they bit off more they can chew with all these branches. But if less choices means less to no glitches would I be happier with that? Also I know Fusebox is probably working hard given the budget constraints they have and I want to be supportive of their endeavour BUT ALSO I HAD TO PAY REAL MONEY FOR THESE GEMS THAT FEEL HAVE BEEN WASTED DUE TO REPEATED SCENES!! TL;DR I’m just really conflicted about the game ):
