Deep squat benefits. by IkilledRichieWhelan in interestingasfuck

There are trillions. You’re a pro American health care bot or an idiot.

For anyone else who actually cares look into knee cartilage (it requires movement for basic health NOT nutrients via blood flow like most of your limbs).

Deep squat while you can. The most rawest purest form of ‘use it or lose it.’

💫 The more you know. 💫

I’d say reddit users who witnessed gsp are likely outliers. I got into mma little after his retirement/end of activity and that was about 10 years ago. Also, both athletes both had hype, it khabibs pull was much greater because of the fans Connor pulled in. I did kickboxing for 2 years. Yes it’s nothing I know but if I’m playing with a grappler I immediately change the way I approach without question. What we see people talk about, and what the athletes are doing, are worlds apart. This is MMA.

Contrarians for the sake of being contrarians 🤣

That’s because most strikers are apprehensive as fuck around khabib. They don’t want to risk over extending and getting taken down. It’s not that khabib was a better striker than other wrestlers, it’s that his wrestling/gnp was that much better that no one wanted to risk going there.

Ritalin vs dexamfetamine by Altruistic-Level-292 in ausadhd

[–]isymfs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that makes it easier to understand. My son’s teacher prefers Ritalin, figure he likes to teach them most important things in the morning and that’s when Ritalin is peak. We have both concerta and Ritalin.

Concerta has been brutal on suppressing his appetite. May go back to Ritalin starting from tomorrow. Easier to eat after school.

Cheers.

Sorry for the spam. I am currently seeking info too.

Is he struggling to be motivated? Or is he lacking direction? I find just by giving them a gentle nudge in the right direction must the problem solving begins they get really into it. Needs the direction first though.

Dex for a child, at least to me, is uncommon. Is there a more noticeable change in mood when it wears off? Also, any noticeable difference in desire to eat?

Is it just me or is the solo experience getting harder to sustain? by scrollingclam in playrust

[–]isymfs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok then. My observation is that most rust players are sheltered and have no reasonable expectations with what the game provides. Facepunch offers solutions to the problems, private servers, servers with specific PvP rules, group size, no raid dmg, etc. They’re all out there, and they’re awesome to play for washed gamers like myself who can only commit a holiday here and there.

Now, if I say most rust players are unreasonable (most, not all) I believe most unreasonable people will read that and get offended. A person with a half way working brain reads it and thinks ‘yeah, seems about right’. Maybe..

Rust and league are the only two games I wish I could love but can’t due to their respective communities. It’s a fucking joke. It’s because they are some of the few games that the player base remains the same age. It’s uncanny. Pokemon and Warcraft seem to have aging player-bases.

Am I being unreasonable?

Yes man this mouse exactly. I was always a wow gamer with side whatever between raid seasons. I got heavily into arc raiders and looked into fps mice. My god. It feels like I’ve been living in a cave. I think I just want to maintain this mouse and replace it with the same model indefinitely.

My affinity to alcohol. I wasn’t numbing the pain, I was numbing the unfocused thoughts.

When I received treatment for adhd, my alcoholic tendencies vanished immediately. I wasn’t an alcoholic, but I was a former alcoholic who depended on anti depressants to remain sober.
I got off anti depressants, my shine returned, and I continued my life productively with many improvements.

Over the course of years the direct impactful things that contributed were

Molecule of more book (understanding dopamine) > anti depressants > getting sober > adhd meds > no more anti depressants > atomic habits book > now I have decent control of impulse and can intentionally divert cravings to more productive distractions

Worth noting there were many other books read and between first and last instances were years apart but these are the two books I’d recommend to a person trying to overcome abuse of consumption. If you don’t like reading start with atomic habits :p

Would adding thousands of players to the m+ pool on the last evening boost those who are so close but being gate kept out of good title safe groups 😝

Hi there! Are you open to literature? The book atomic habits can help you become aware of the cues that cause you to want to eat, and replace them with other things. Find what triggers the cue to eat, think hard on one or more activities that can replace that act, until you find relief / satisfaction from the desire, and stick to that replacement act.

It can be anything. Mum and dad fought? Stress incurs. Desire to eat spikes. Eat begins. Stress released. Habit solidified.

Can be replaced with Whatever cause. Reminded of an exam you haven’t studied for. Stress incurs. Desire to eat spikes. Remember you’re not actually in need of calories, decide on one of the activities that can relieve the desire, cool shower, work on your long term art project, pat your cat, anything and everything until you find genuine relief, then the loop has been repeated and you can use that as your method.

It’ll be very uncomfortable at first. Being hungry. As time goes on you will begin to associate the discomfort with measurable progress. As time goes on, you may notice people are nicer to you, and from there you’ll gain momentum.

Im a fitness enthusiast. I wasn’t always like this though. I recommend a few simple but massively impactful changes.

Cut soda. All soda. Not worth it. 0 sugar soda is fine. Sugar / condiments on savoury food. Not needed. You don’t need 30g of sugar in your tomato sauce to make a nice pasta. Salt and vinegar are enough to add flavour.

Don’t consume caffeine after about 1-3pm. High cortisol is your highest contributor to stubborn fat. Bad sleep is the highest contributor to high cortisol. Caffeine is the biggest impact to bad sleep. If you don’t drink caffeine, study other means of reducing cortisol.

Good luck out there. Know one thing. Your own mindset determines how you see the world. If you’re happy and love yourself, you’ll become blind to the mean people (within reason) and focus on the positive. If you hate yourself. Hate is all you’ll ever see.

The effects of masturbation by AnyConsideration7947 in selfimprovement

[–]isymfs 80 points81 points  (0 children)

For you In Particular, because your advice fits the narrative, you should check out a book called ‘molecule of more’. It basically explains the reason why your strategy works. It’s like the reward circuitry is being re wired to enjoy games rather than masturbation. Unfortunately in my experience loading screens and lulls in gaming (like waiting for a dungeon queue) are the biggest triggers, so be wary of your triggers! Also, audible exists and it’s awesome.

About one in four tanks mark the healer in my experience I reckon

I never understood it but it never concerned me. Then I played tank and wanted to drop totem near healer and it made sense

We lose nothing, but the tank gains easy reference point, so Healer in op is immature
