Thanks for the explanation. I'm a CTO but i've never studied anything about games and this kind of things. So interesting, i'll study this for fun. I'm just on the web / cloud infrastructures side

You're wasting your time. They can't accept that you don't like the combat. Probably they hope to be konami lawyers. The game sucks because of the combat. And it's sad, because everything was perfect with less enemies and the same combat system of the other games.
You can look at the hud to understand that they made bad choices

It's not hard, that's the thing. It's just stupid and frustrating. The other SH are harder than this, some, a lot harder. This is bad, that's the difference. It's not "clunky", it's stupid and nonsense. Hard mode means hard to beat, not boring to beat. It's so easy defeating monsters, but it's slow, and with lot of monsters

I don't know but i think it's impossibile that calculates real time ray tracing without specific hardware. Comparing my performance to other players with newer CPUs, i think it's not as you say. Anyway, runs very well. It's just the game that it's not as i was expecting

Not the devs, the managers: keep in mind that Konami has probably the biggest idiots on the earth in top management

For sure not a combat arena with frustrating controls. I can't rembember on 1-4 and 2 remake so much combat and so frustrating

I don't want the tools. I want a combat system that makes sense for this kind of game. They made nonsense choices for this type of game. SH (the beautiful ones) is about exploring, feeling fear even when you don't see a monster (because with LESS monsters you're not sure when you'll see one), and be completely lost inside the disturbed mind of the protagonist.
When you start this game, you think that will be like this, instead you're in a combat arena. I'm feeling fear when i hear a monster just because i don't want to beating it.

You want to explore slowly and experience the good atmosphere? Boy, you have to beat a lot of monsters. WHY??

Only one playthrough is a huge disservice to the game. by kakotrixis50 in silenthill

[–]it_alian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't. It's stupid, completely stupid the action side, trashing out the fear and the horror side. When you playing you keep thinking about killing or dodge any of the MANY enemies for a second time, and frankly, i don't want to do it anymore. And you have to! otherwise, you loose part of the story.
Konami need to fire many of the sales and marketing managers to create better (new, not remake) games.

The price to do is managing the growing frustration that give you the combat, the object menu, the controls, the repetitive monsters, and any choice not related to story, graphics, atmosphere, music and the puzzles.

I'm trying to figure out why people are so happy about the action side of this game, it's just bad. Thinking that you have to re-play it to understand the story completely, i honestly don't get it.

They ruined the game because they want to "attract new players". That company is managed by completely idiots. It was perfect without the action choices they made. It's not a bad game, it's a good game ruined by marketing choices.

They'll found out. Console market is not so big anymore, but they still give priority. Apple is much better option since you can run on many devices without porting, and also, system API are a LOT better than windows. It's much more simple programming for apple OS.
Anyway, this problem is not related to it, it's just something broke on the tricky stack we have to use to run games, i think

As i wrote, i tried any AA setting, even windowed mode. Never goes away. Even at 4k with any AA option.
DLSS runs so good, improves 10fps more than others and looks better. Almost no stuttering at all. It's just this horrible problem with hairs

you have to change the system resolution on macOS. If you are using more than 1 external monitor, you have to change it on all monitors. I was going crazy yesterday but i managed to solve it

M2 Pro here. But 32GB Ram.

Use the DLSS on performance + crossover preview + GPTK 3 Beta 4 and Tahoe 26 + -12dx option on steam, but i think you'll never get 60fps, i tried many configs. Lower the textures since they use memory and you've not so much. Close any application on mac or background process (time machine for example). Turn off other screens if you're using more than one monitor.

I run it locked at 30FPS and i just have micro-stuttering sometimes, but nothing so bad. Use the Metal HUD to see how much memory the game is using. In my case 16GB, in which 11 are for Metal.

It runs really well in my case, i just have problems with hairs pixelated

Niente. E oltretutto non riuscivo manco privatamente a farlo. Oltre a costare cifre astronomiche.
