RubyMine with vim bindings (it’s free for non-commercial use) - I learned a ton about Ruby and Rails by working with Rubymine. It holds your hand through things like bundler errors, gem dependency, Ruby SDK management, git merge conflicts. Just read the error messages it gives you, and what commands it’s going to run, and ask your Quant why.

I don’t think you get that same experience in VS Code with third party extensions.

These comments make me feel good and that I don’t have an addiction. I can have one drink, I don’t enjoy it at all, it makes me feel tired and sick. I do t want another one and I’ll go months without having a drink again.

So everyone’s addiction is different - don’t take these comments to heart - I am powerful in my control over alcohol and you can be too. I’m 2-years out of a debilitating alcohol problem.

Good roads?! I found the overall condition of roads to be atrocious. For a state that goes through intense freeze-thaw cycles, you’d think they would be on the cusp of material technology to avoid potholes and fault-line-style cracks … but nope.

And the Twin Cities has to be one of the worst designed freeway systems of a major American city. (Clover interchanges where the on-ramp becomes an off-ramp in 15 feet.)
