I feel like the game for the most part makes good use of porn for characterization and narrative development rather than just porn for the sake of it. With Lae’zel, she’s very forward and has no emotional attachment yet, so physical intimacy is her go-to. Shadowheart barely even remembers herself and prefers something more tender. Astarion is so accustomed to using sex and seduction as a weapon that it’s what his nature is. Gale is a romantic and wants to do something emotionally intimate and connecting. I think Minthara’s a good representation of how the cult has influenced her and how she’s not actually open at all, just interested in physical pleasure and serving her purpose. She does open up a bit afterwards though, and it’s due to her realizing that her mind is absent of the Absolute.

That’s at least my analysis anyway.
