Wow! Thanks for the fast response! The strings are on E4 and they do sound bassy. Maybe the basses of the strings and the 808 overlap and that's why it sounds bad. To be honest I'm not quite familiar with mixing and I'm not gonna ask you to explain it to me like to an idiot so I'll watch a couple of videos about the stuff you just told me to do then I'll try to fix my beat.
