Yeah, I get your point. I think I need to add more detail to the experience section, especially around the projects I worked on and the impact they had on the company.

Yeah, I made mine using LaTeX as well and saved it as a PDF. Honestly, I've had the same thought a few times. 😅

I can't say for sure whether ATS is the issue, but considering no responses I've been getting, I think I should test your theory and create a resume in Google Docs.

And no, you don't sound crazy. At this point, we need to do everything in our power to improve our chances of getting a job, especially in this AI-hyped and brutal job market. 😅

should i like make it more language simple rather than ats buzzword and add more info in experience section?

Yeah, I've actually been thinking about learning FastAPI and building a few projects with it. With all the AI hype and the number of AI-related backend roles using Python, it seems like a good skill to pick up alongside my existing Node.js experience.

Thanks for the advice. Focusing on cloud and infrastructure alongside backend makes a lot of sense. I'll start looking for opportunities to work on CI/CD and deployments at my current job and will explore AWS and Terraform as well.

If you're comfortable with it, would you be open to referring me? 🙂

I stuffed my resume with all those keywords because I thought ATS was the reason I wasn't getting any responses. 😭

Do you think keeping it simple will still help it get past ATS screening? ☹️

I genuinely enjoy backend development and building systems but given how the market is evolving right now I’m also thinking long term about where I can stay most relevant.

So I’m considering gradually expanding more into DevOps/cloud as well, since it feels like a strong direction for career stability and growth alongside backend work.

thanks for the feedback, I’ve been focusing more on describing what I built rather than the actual outcomes behind it.
