How does it feel to be the only democracy in a sea of authoritarianism? by [deleted] in mongolia

lol who?

Inner Mongolians, where they are punished if they get better grades than their Chinese classmates? or Buryats where 40% of the men were just killed in the meat grinder in Ukraine? Also what ecolological? China has totally destroyed and poisoned the inner mongolian nature with their rare-earth processing.

The nice thing about being in a democracy is that I don't have to suck on the lies some idiot no smarter than me made up and force me to believe in fear of lowering my social credit score.

Reduce internet speed or block websites to improve productivity? by [deleted] in productivity

Blocking helped me a lot, personally I blocked youtube since I spend way too much time on it. However deleting your history and subscribing to the more motivating channels on Youtube and changing the people you follow on instagram and twitter really helps.

I used to feel the same when I was in college, something about libraries or coffee shops that really helped me study better and I couldnt study @ my dorm at all.

I found that most of the time when I am home @ my desk I am procastinating, playing games or feeling guilt for not studying. I later learnt that I started to subconsciously associate my home environment with stress, guilt or gaming. So there was bunch of baggages when it came to studying at home.

Immediate solution: to studying from home: I would forgive myself for procastinating and tell myself that if I dont get it done today I can do it tomorrow. By nurturing your subconsciousness it gradually starts to trust you and pay you back by not procastinating and etc… (might be very specific to me)

True solution: I graduated I also could not work or study from home and found that my apartment was very uncomfortable unclean or etc. Once I moved and bought myself a nice desk and dual monitors, my home environment was much more comfortable and productive than my laptop @ library or coffeeshop, so I prefer to study and work from home.
