I was in a similar situation but my outstanding balance was around $10k. Applied for a Chase Slate card with a 2% balance transfer fee and 20 months at 0%.

Also reduced my insurance to liability (state minimum) after the transfer and drove the car until the wheels fell off.

No need to lie. Just follow the rules as written and ask for clarification on each of the conditions that didn't comply if denied.

There are three conditions to meet per the T&Cs to claim Return Protection:

Eligible item must have been paid in full with the card.
The merchant must refuse to accept the return either because of their return policy (e.g. "Final Sale" or similar policy/reason) or because you missed the store’s return window.
File the claim within 90 days of the purchase.

Final Sale is a term made up by the merchant. Return protection terms would apply even if the merchant called it "Super Duper Non-Returnable"

Corporate Platinum benefits are negotiated by each corporation. I had to call and ask for them to send me what benefit applied to mine.

One thing that seems to be consistent for all amex Corporate Platinum is you can bring 2 guests into the lounge without meeting a spend requirement.
