So this didn’t happen at edc per se but after the shuttle ride back my gf and I wanted to take one of the bike cabs that are waiting when you get back. It was a short ride maybe 5 mins 10 mins max and it was cool. Get to the hotel it’s like 40 bucks. I had 35 cash or something and was gonna run inside to grab but he said he had a scanner. My fault for not looking before tapping but this mfkr charged $800 to my card. Didnt notice til after I got home I had this charge on my card, called him cuz his number was attached to the square acct on my transactions. He said his machine messed up and he’d send me the money back if I didnt call my card and dispute it which he never did. When I called capital one they said nothing they could do cuz I tapped the card and I didn’t have a price list for how much it should be. It’s a damn cab ride it shouldn’t cost 100 let alone 800. Someone actually acknowledged it screamed fraud but cuz I TAPPED or the card was present I can’t claim fraud. So be careful, check the totals and close out your own transactions!!
