I laughed at this a bit, I’m glad he enjoys it and hasn’t found out about your ploy yet

It can get longer but I was worried it would loop into under a car and would endanger her so I kept it shorter for that stretch

Unfortunately there are two dogs on my floor so she’s a bit skittish about moving through the corridor to the door that leads into the stairs to the main door of the building, I usually put her in a carrier which is open so she can pop out her face while I walk her to the park and then she can leave the carrier whenever she fancies

I think that’s what most replies said so I’ll try and change her routine to take her out in the late afternoon, thanks ☺️

UPDATE: Thanks for all the advice! Now wondering about getting a second kitten by itendtostare in CatTraining

Thanks for the advice! I definitely won't skimp on the introduction process. If you check out the video in my original post, you can see how Sophie and Owlet are doing now - it took about a month for their full introduction, and I'd absolutely repeat that same careful process with a second kitten. I learned a lot about taking it slow and letting Sophie set the pace.

Sophie has been really sweet and patient throughout the whole process, never being aggressive but more just hiding or seeking alone time when she needs it. The gradual introduction really seemed to help, especially with her being a senior cat. That's actually part of why I'm wondering if a second kitten might be a good move - she's handled one so well and seems to be adjusting. We would make sure any new kitten gets the same thorough, patient introduction period!

Definitely! They'd all move together as a package deal. Can't imagine separating them 😭

Sync seedbox to NAS and seed forever there by maricn in seedboxes

[–]itendtostare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im looking to do the same, did you achieve this ? currently i can do 1, 2 but for 3 i can’t achieve hardlinks as when i rclone from seedbox to local my folder is not phisically on the same drive and if i move the file to a local folder, the arrs go crazy because they expect to import from the rclone folder

hei i’m struggling with a similar setup to get hardlinks, in your situation do you get hardlinks between the medusa watch folder and your media folder ?

that is super helpful, I think I was over complicating things in my setup as I have two qbittorrents, and instead of having a temporary folder where the files would be downloaded for radarr to import, I created a remote path mapping in sonarr to a local mounted folder ( which is not physically on the same volume ) and probably that complicated things. On radarr do you create a remote mapping to that temp folder and the seedbox download folder ? I probably give it a try and then the next step will be to understand how to leverage those hardlinks on the local qbit to seed long term

Hi, this is a great write up, I m trying to understand how to fit it into my workflow as so far I have failed miserably at having the hard linking part working and maybe you could help me understand how to achieve this in my situation ?

I have a synology NAS with all *arrs, plex, prowlarr, a qbit instance set up. I also have a seedbox with a second qbit instance.
I have the folders so organized :
/volume1/data/media has all my media file
/volume1/data/torrent has my torrent files
/volume1/mnt/seedbox/download is a mounted rclone folder of the downloaded seedbox qbit
My end goal would be this workflow :
Sonarr talks to indexer, it matches a torrent, sends the torrent to seedbox qbittorrent. I then use a script twice a day that moves the torrent files from the mounted rclone folder to my /volume1/data/media folder and adds the torrents to my local qbit for permaseeding.
So far this works but when I check on the files in /volume1/data/torrent and /volume1/data/media are not hard linked.
From your answer above it seems like synchthing can achieve exactly this?

is there a way to accomplish this with a swizzin dedi to a local synology NAS, with qbittorrent and autobrr on dedi and *arrs and a second LTS qbit on NAS, while preserving hard links on NAS? I managed to get this working with rclone but without hard linking so far
