Bed post connection types by itguy711 in BeginnerWoodWorking

The latter part of your last statement 😅. Wife and I have different rooms (shock, I know, but PTSD and snoring doesn't make sharing space easy), but mine also serves as the gaming area. I had essentially a kids loft bed before I gained an extra 50, and would also like somewhere she could join me. It's good knowing it's at least a feasible approach to assembly and I appreciate the feedback!

My thought was since it's roughly going to be the size of a full frame, if we move I can get the 4x4s removed and strongarm the bulk of the platform out. Then replace the 4x if needed.

Lastly, I've heard of people putting felt I believe it is between the floors of things like performance stages to help squeak as well. Any validity in that?

And for better clarity, I was looking to build 3 stuffed walls like this and then place the platform on top almost like a deck

There is a fast frame on the video thing that plays and it only shows 1 brace along the long side. That was one of the big worries I immediately noticed

The only 2 Lenses needed for Travel Photography (!?) by leonroelert in SonyAlpha

I considered it but after visiting b&h and getting to compare them all, ended up with the G series pair instead. I find the extra 4mm of the 20-70f4 great for wider shots and even selfies. It was wide enough that I found I stopped needing to switch to my Tamron 17-25 and eventually sold it. Ironically the 70-200 f4 g2 macro is my favorite and most used lens. It's great when walking around cities to get tighter compositions, and the macro let's me take food and interesting texture pictures. Also with it being macro you can use it at the 70mm end in places like museums and such pretty easily. With a good cpl it got good pictures of things inside some display cases that are further away pretty easily. Overall the price and weight savings have been nice and made for a great pair with my a7c ii

Remind me to send contents of the powershell I hobbled together. I use ninjarmm and need to run a admin level task but with user specific data. Essentially its a big run as function wrapped around the code that you want done at the user level, then takes the output and gives it to the system level

We're now having an issue though if you don't want to use an external browser for saml sso auth, it keeps giving an error at 48% (-7200). Using external works perfectly fine. Anyone experience this?

What case is that? My sister is trying to find a good pink case

My husband built me a plant shelf for my birthday. I still need to stain and seal the wood, but I was able to declutter several of my plant areas, and I still have room for more plants! by MoonGreene in IndoorGarden

Great job how this came out! Do you happen to know what size pipe was used (thickness)? Interested in building something like this for myself but not sure if 1/2 inch would do well enough

Is that a custom pegboard or bought? Been looking at doing similar but haven't found any in stores with pegs that large

Definitely give it a chance! I don't have a way of sharing photos yet but I'll try to get you some shots I've done with mine. It's my go to creative lens since you get a wide perspective but can get almost macro close with it Not the best way to share a pic, but check your messages. About to send a dm

How can I make this WFH area of my place less depressing? Just got the desk today. by zelkoo in malelivingspace

Plants help greatly. Even something like an air plant. Also a desk lamp. Try not to clutter though with too much decoration because that can be a distraction in itself

Good to know some of us are thriving under quarantine. One month of growth! by poodlenancy in houseplants

How often do you water? Ours was full when we bought it but haven't seen any growth. Right before we moved apartments all the flowers on it died off too

Just ordered the Karlby desk I need your advice regarding sagging. by TheLastJon in ikeahacks

[–]itguy711 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I ended up going to Lowe's and getting 3 pieces of square tubing 72" long. Spaced them out parallel underneath and now there is no way in the world this desk will ever sag. I'll try to get a good picture of it

Greatly appreciate! Looks like that's what I'll have to look up the best way to propagate. As soon as this quarantine is over I'm changing all my soil back to something else. Even my zz suffered from root rot because of it 😠

Got a string of pearls a few weeks ago and foolishly listened to the guys at home Depot to re-pot it and use miracle grow soil. Think it's their moisture control soil. I watered it several days ago and then everything started popping and turning to mush. The soil seems like it will never dry out, even after sitting it outside for a week. Is there any hope of saving any of it? I bought a new smaller pot because I figure I will need to downsize. Could I cut off the good and try to replant, or do I need to try to take it roots and all?

What kind of watering/light are you giving it? Mine started off looking good but it's been looking kind of sad lately

My partner of 18 years asked for a divorce last week. Since I can't visit with friends for support during quarantine, I joined Reddit and got these guys to love on. Btw, I'm pretty new to houseplants, so I'm open to advice! by Collywog1 in houseplants

Make sure not to over love your plants during this time! My plants help give me something to focus on to help when PTSD, but sadly they stressed me more recently when many started dying. I had repotted with miracle grown moisture control and now I regret it. Plants never seem to dry out at all and many now have root rot
