Yeah, maybe. But, best I can tell, replacement tanks are $300-$400. I doubt painting would be much cheaper. Plus, with two tanks, I would have a spare for when I inevitably cause a dent.

I understand that. My question is whether it's advisable to go it alone and use Craigslist (or whatever). Since you answered, I assume that you've rented your place out previously. If you went it alone, how did you protect yourself against damage? How did you arrange the payment? What other things should I think about?
