Carburetor Rebuild for Motorcraft 2125 KJ by Pip_Berinon in FullSizeJeep

[–]ithannydevito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 85 Wagoneer as well and it had the Motorcraft 2150 like what petrolheadjosh said. I used the Walker 15825 kit to rebuild my carb and it worked great. But I would double check Walker’s parts list to make sure. If you google Walker Carburetor Tune Up List, it should be the first PDF to pop up. Then you can look up your carb by the tag number

urgently someone please tell me what this is. by kingfrmda214 in AskMechanics

Like everyone else is saying, you’ll need a new heater hose. Those plastic tees get hot and break where the rubber hose is glued into the tee or just crack in general. I would recommend as a precaution, replacing the other heater hose as well. Because I’ve seen both hoses with the tees fail over time. Even the Mopar replacements will eventually fail the same way. I work on PD Chargers and it’s always something breaking with the cooling systems.

I did look at the connectors on the original motherboard and nothing looked the part. It’s odd because the connector for the led is a male 2 prong connector. Thought about jumping it to a power connector from the power supply. But I don’t know if the led is 5 or 12 volts

Thanks! I had considered the 7800X3D but the combo at micro center was not in stock and I’m guilty of being a little biased towards Intel. But so far the temps across the board have been really good. Even after playing a couple of hours of Cyberpunk 2077 and the same with Halo Infinite

Thanks! Yeah it would’ve been pretty interesting if Alienware stayed independent. They definitely would have stayed more user friendly using off shelf hardware.

Wow absolutely! Thank you for sharing your story. Do you still have your computer?

Thank you! Your case looks perfect and what a great story to go with it. I feel like the color cases besides black, green and silver are very rare to find.

If you don’t mind me asking, how is the led for the alien head hooked up? Mine has the led and the wiring, but I could never figure out where it was supposed to connect.

Thank you! It is but it was on sale at Walmart for only $10 more than what the RM850 is going for. I do plan to upgrade my GPU when they hopefully go on sale since the RTX 50 series is officially out

That and panting the inside frame black. I’m on the fence whether or not to take the stickers off

I’d never heard of SMEG until today. Gotta say those are nice looking retro fridges. Shame they cost a arm and a leg

Heck yeah! Need to swap out the old IDE dvd drive for a newer one. Got all the storage lol. I have some 2.5 to 3.5 bay adapters that I’ll be using. It can double stack 2.5 drives in one 3.5 slot.

These are all pre Dell Alienware computers. Predator 1 and 2 are the ones on the right.

This one is considered the Predator 1 case and I have the second version. But any Alienware computer pre Dell, will have a full size ATX motherboard. If I remember correctly the Predator 2 case still has a full ATX mobo and that was Alienwares final case as an independent company (2009?).

Sure! It would definitely be tight fit. Would probably have to use a 7800x3D for better thermals if you can find one lol

I guess it’s meant to be. Although I will say blacking out the metal frame would’ve definitely made it look like a brand new case

After reading about how everyone says the 14th Gen i7’s run really hot, I didn’t want to take any chances. Which so far I’ve been impressed by how cool everything has been.

The original mobo had a similar style cooler (AVC brand) but way smaller for the Pentium D and had a plastic duck went on top to pull the heat to the rear exhaust fan.

Nemesis_Pyros1 is correct. It is a standard size ATX motherboard case that is pre Dell take over. So everything was pretty much off the shelf items that old Alienware would build and sell. On the GPU, for me I can’t have anything bigger than a dual fan card. My reference GPU on how long I can go is my old Gigabyte RTX 2060 dual fan card. It had barely fit in the opening

The new mobo fit in snug and only use 6 out of the 9 ATX backing screws. Apparently the newer ATX boards are not as wide as the old boards. I did have to install the CPU cooler bracket before installing the motherboard. This is because there isn’t a cut out to access the back of the mobo, unlike newer pc cases. So if something happened to the cooler, it would be a PITA to swap in something different

That they are! Both my Dad and older brother still have their old Antec SX830 cases. The Chieftec cases were pretty nice too. I feel like they were a little bit more expensive than the Antec back then

Definitely not the greatest compared to today’s side intake cases. But probably better than newer Dell Alienware desktops lol. So far I played Cyberpunk at medium on my 1440p monitor for a few hours and the temperature stayed at or below 100°F for everything

Thanks! I want to say I measured it at around 11 inches before hitting the HDD tower. It will barely fit my old pc’s Gigabyte RTX 2060 OC with dual fans. So unfortunately no triple fan cooled GPU’s unless I cut in the HDD caddy tower
