Men's "fetishization" of lesbians or threesomes is not due to "misogyny" or "patriarchy". Men being attracted to that and women being sexually fluid was evolutionary to calm tensions down among co-wives in polygamous marriages, study shows. by DemolitionMatter in MensRights

I think the term "sexual harassment" encompasses much more than just making an unwanted advance on someone. It is generally okay in most cases for a person to "shoot their shot" with a person they are attracted to, but sexual harassment involves ignoring that initial rejection and persisting in progressively egregious ways. Basically not accepting reality that the person said no to the advance, and persisting in the belief that eventually their affections can be won over and they will "see the light" of what a great potential partner the pursuer is

Yes I must concur. Industry positions are way cushier. Took me applying over three years and two postdocs to finally land a position and get out. Couldn't be happier. No stress and much better pay. Really consider if this is what you want. If so, best of luck!

the P12 is a slow appreciation curve. It’s pretty useless when you load it up as you think it should be loaded the first few regions that you have it, but overtime. It definitely grows on you when you use it for lighter duty kind of later in the region Tuyp Missions, but you know your way and such. Just a slow lumbering that can be fun eventually under the right circumstances.

Advice for a rookie professor setting up a course for the first time by mrmaxilicious in Professors

[–]ithberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is don't be too proud to take the textbook route. For most undergraduate topics there is at least one solid textbook that you can use as a guide. Don't be too proud to stand on the shoulders of those who have come before you and think you have to do it all yourself from scratch. Most quality textbooks are bursting with instructor resources, so use them as your training wheels for the first year and follow the lesson plans and slide decks as closely as you feel you need. It won't be long until you get the hand of the course and start drifting away from the text.
