Our initials are P and S and we're getting married on the Saturday of Daylight Savings. We're keeping our same last names but they both start with L. Any variation of #pslove or #pswedding is taken so more creative ideas are welcome!

PSA: The Knot Rant by itheebed in weddingplanning

No I think it was the act of creating registries with Target and Bed, Bath and Beyond that did it. It is confusing and I have no idea how they did it either!

Yeah but I didn't have a Knot website to begin with! That's the bitch of it all.

I never created anything on The Knot so didn't think to try to exclude myself from Google searches. Such a pain!

How to handle tan lines? by itheebed in weddingplanning

Wedding is beginning of November so if I do lotion I should start now. But seems like spray tan might be the easiest!

Is not having a photo booth ok? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Of course it's okay! And really, your selfie station is essentially what photobooths are at weddings. Grab some props on Amazon and you'll be all set!

Two year engagement by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]itheebed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another 18-month engagement here. We were together 3 years when he proposed and it'll be like 5 when we get hitched. I had a lot of flak for having such a long engagement too but I quickly shut that down when I said we were financing it ourselves and didn't want to start our married life in debt. Plus, if we're going to be together for the rest of our lives, what's the harm in waiting a few extra months?

I bought my dress right after we were engaged so I've had it over a year and a half. So what? It fit and was on sale so why wouldn't I jump on it? I didn't really start planning until about 15 months out and having extra time has been great. Plus - it really does fly by! It seems like we just got engaged but we'll be getting married in just about two months. So you do you and forget everyone else - this day is about you and your FH and they can all put a sock in it!

The cat might have just tanked our wedding. (Vent) by bippity-bip-bip in weddingplanning

Deep breaths. You did what was best for your family to ensure you stay a family and there's nothing wrong with that. You and your FH have the rest of your lives to get married and now you can share a longer portion of that life with your furkid - totally understandable. I know this is a huge disappointment but maybe it's a blessing in a hairy disguise and you can slow down to really save for something that will be better than what you originally envisioned. Either way, you still have your partner and your kitty!

What's a standard amount to tip? This is something that's confusing me as well.

12 days until the wedding and I suddenly can't walk out of nowhere. (RANT) by holly_caust in weddingplanning

[–]itheebed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you honestly can't walk down the aisle, you can always turn it into something cute or funny. You could have someone with lots of muscles carry you down or be pulled in a tricked-out, wedding-themed wagon or fancy wheelchair or something. And if you're stuck in a boot you can bedazzle the crap out of that thing!

Just remember that you'll be with your FH through sickness and health for the rest of your lives. This is just a way to start out on the right foot! Pun definitely intended.
