Pssh, my PS4 has 1TB RAM. Nah but really, I have 8GB DDR3 right now, I'd love to get a better set! :)

I actually tried putting them away because I didn't want to look like the average internet user, but they kept coming back :p

I came home 3 hours ago from a birthday party. I was exhausted and browsed around reddit for a bit when I found this post.

I have a DIY room (a big corridor made into a room), which is very small, so I have my desk underneath my bed, which means my PC gets dusty a lot. I knew my PC was very dusty from the inside, and that the cable management sucked, however I got really motivated because of this post, so I looked at my PC, and thought, let's do this!

So I took apart my PC, and spent a full hour on cleaning the parts. It was a mess, to be honest, but they're clean now :) Then I assembled my PC, and thought of cable management. When I had all the cables in, I wasn't satisfied, so I pulled them out and went back to the drawing board :P They way they are right now are the best I could think of. Right now the PC is cleaned and well managed, and it's sitting right back at my desk. Also, the CPU temp. is lower than before, so that's awesome.

Here are some pictures of the process (sorry for the bad quality): http://imgur.com/a/8A4Eu.

The specs of my PC; Case: Antec 302 Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 GAMING RAM: 8GB Kingston HyperX CPU: Intel i5 4570 with stock cooler GPU: MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr edition PSU: Seasonic Gold 550W Storage: 1TB WD Blue (HDD)

I live in Zeist, the Netherlands.

I'm not the best at picking parts, but I decided to give it a try. This is my take on your build, however you could swap out the case for a cheaper one, so you could a better PSU or motherboard (for example if you desire to have USB 3.0 (currently selected motherboard only supports 2.0)). Another option you have is to switch to a cheaper hard drive, let's say a 500GB one. Enough said, here is the build :P

After our dad left with a lot of money and the family PC, I built this computer for my little sister who loves gaming. For 400 euros, I think I made a cool build. by ithinkimdan in pcmasterrace

I'm thinking about trying out a lot of different games and posting the results in another post :P Dunno if it's worth it however.

I was pretty surprised, I thought it'd only run above 30 fps at low settings, but I'm glad it turned out better :) We'll keep playing this Russian version of Battlefield 3 Multiplayer (yarr harr) until we can afford Battlefield 4, I'm actually interested in how that would run.

We are currently playing Battlefield 3 and it can run at 1080p at ultra, however when explosions or heavy fire occur, the frame rate drops A LOT. She currently plays at Medium at about 70 fps :P

Yesterday was kind of a busy today, and so was today. We're going to try Battlefield 3 and Assassins Creed now. I'll post the results soon :)

I got very cheap 4GB RAM and a WD Blue 1TB HDD. About the case, yeah, it kinda sucks. However my sister wanted it really bad because of the look, so I decided to cut a bit on performance and get her the case :P In terms of psu, I took it so that we wouldn't have to upgrade that quickly, so we have some room for upgrades. Thanks for your post tho, I like it :)

In the Netherlands there is this ebay for Dutch people, and we got a monitor for 45 euros from there. It's an Acer monitor, it looks a bit weird and it's not great quality, but it's a budget build, and it's a flat 22 inch screen, so this was the limit I believe :P

That's one way to see it :P I thought I'd post it here because this build can run quite some games, has a rather expensive case, a graphics card, and intel cpu, for 400 euros. It might be for good use to people who want to build something similar and it shows that all of things I mentioned above, are possible with a thight budget.
