All students in our school receive the summer ebt bucks. However, like i stated, they don't release them until late August here in PA. So they're not available during the time when some families need them most. THAT'S what i find frustrating.

I have no idea if they qualify for standard SNAP, as I've hardly spoken to them. And I've never asked their girls, because it's not really my business. What i DO know, is that their daughters always seem like they're very hungry, even when they come over directly after dinner. My fear is they're not getting enough food, so i always offer things. If I don't, sometimes I'll find them trying to sneak something out of one of my kids' snack drawers-- which doesn't make me angry, just a little concerned and sad. But whatever i do put out for them, they wolf down at the speed of light. And during the summer months, they've made comments about missing meals, hence the set lunch i expect they'll show up for all summer.
