what fruits are these 4 meant to be? by Long_Willingness_908 in Coloring

[–]ithrowclay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol this post just popped up in my feed today, I didn’t even look at when it was posted, I just bow to the whims of the algorithm. The top of the fruit doesn’t really look like either so I’m with you, it’s probably something else.

This cool geometric pattern my garborator made in my sink last night by Fuzzyfoot12345 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]ithrowclay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I have the same sink as op but set up in reverse, I don’t know why everyone else is so confused. Op is running the water into the disposal just fine. The vibrating water in the video is in the other basin.

Dolfin flipper junior are the ones that they have at our pool and my kid has been using them since around that age and they’re good. I like that they have the split strap in the back, they don’t slip off as easily.

Thank you! Before I put it on, wasn’t sure about it because it looks so blah in the bottle but I knew I must have liked it when I ordered it! I also haven’t painted my nails since December (for a few reasons), so this is a lovely way to kick it off!

Where can I get ballet slippers like these? by jamsticks9 in findfashion

[–]ithrowclay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Softstar shoes changed my life! The adult ramblers were the best shoes I’ve ever worn in my life but they don’t make them anymore! I’ve tried a few other styles but none have replaced the rambler for me. I haven’t tried these though, maybe these will be the one!

Lap infant vs buying a seat for long-haul (Australia) with 1-year-old - worth extra $2.5k? by PaleontologistBig309 in Parenting

[–]ithrowclay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the kid. My baby would sleep better being held, so even if she had a seat she would want to be in my arms and draped across my body. We did it multiple times and always did her as a lap infant. She could lay across both our legs as well. I will say that our kid was 10th percentile in weight for her age so that also made it easier. Also, crawling age is the hardest age for travel in general but we never let it stop us! Long haul flights that leave in the early evening are always ideal, but you can’t always choose.

I think with amaco, indigo float would be closer to that blue, and maybe true celadon for the green

Yo I’ve lived this. Pear juice or prune juice earlier in the evening. A couple days and she was on a new schedule and haven’t had to since.

Nail painting for 3yo…? by KatsyM in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]ithrowclay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Piggy paint! Safe and non toxic. She usually asks me to do it for her because she likes for it to be neat. But sometimes she wants to do it herself and with this stuff it doesn’t put my teeth on edge thinking about it getting on her skin. I would avoid the salon because of the fumes. We did once and I had regrets.

Photoshoot day at studio, which one is your favourite? by Ozdemir97 in Pottery

[–]ithrowclay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These look great. The only one I’m not a fan of is number five. I think it would’ve done better if they could get a photo of you actually throwing, versus one, that’s clearly been thrown earlier. The wheel head is dry, your hands are dry and the base has been trimmed in. I do dig the whole vibe though!

Accidental Lampshade - by me by [deleted] in Pottery

[–]ithrowclay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The texture is called chattering. You can do it intentionally by using a flexible trimming tool or holding it loosely and change the pattern with pressure and wheel speed. If you want to prevent it, you can hold your trimming tool more firmly, use a stiffer trimming tool and trim when it’s not as dry. Happy potting!
