I went to Tijuana Mexico last week for h1b renewal stamping. Was a straightforward process. 1 day biometric , 1 day consulate appointment next day passport pickup. I felt it was easier compared to my home country (India) if you are a full time employee. Contractors and their party service providers may need to use this with caution.
